Pre-drying is essential: TPEE must be pre-dried prior to processing to ensure the resin remains dry during manufacturing.
When the temperature exceeds the melting point, moisture in the resin will cause hydrolysis, resulting in degraded physical properties and increased brittleness. Generally, hydrolysis will not occur when the moisture content is below 0.1%.
Drying Recommendation: Materials exposed to air must be re-dried before use (recommended conditions: drying at 80℃ for 3-4 hours, or at 60℃ overnight).
TPEE exhibits excellent processability and can be easily formed into various products via plastic processing methods such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding. The recommended processing temperature ranges from 180℃ to 260℃, with the specific temperature depending on the process and grade.
TPEE is hygroscopic and must be stored in a cool, dry place in sealed packaging. Any unused material after opening should be tightly resealed. Drying prior to processing is a critical step to ensure finished product quality; insufficient or no drying will result in a significant decline in the mechanical properties of the product.
- Rail Transit: Used in under-rail pads for light rail, high-speed rail, subway, and heavy-haul railway. Features appropriate dynamic-static ratio and excellent resilience.
- Automotive Components: Widely applied in engine intake pipes, drive shaft boots, airbag housings, automotive fuel vapor hoses, fuel tanks, air brake hoses, etc. Offers outstanding chemical resistance and weatherability for superior performance and longer service life.
- Electrical & Electronic: Used in fiber-optic cables, communication wiring equipment, antennas, etc. Exhibits excellent heat resistance, elasticity, creep resistance and electrical insulation.
- Industrial Products: Applied in hydraulic hoses, inflation tubes, gears, manipulators, couplings, seals, gaskets, shock absorbers, and various industrial components.
