The Trade Union of Provincial-level Government Organs Carries Out a "Health Care" Consolation Activity at Haiso

On the morning of 21 July, a delegation led by the Deputy Director of the Trade Union of Provincial Government Departments visited Haiso Company to conduct a ‘Health Outreach’ event. They invited Shen Feng, a consultant at Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to give an on-site talk on traditional Chinese medicine wellness and acupuncture health care. The event was attended by the company’s Deputy Party Secretary, Vice President and Chair of the Trade Union, as well as the Vice-Chair of the Trade Union and the Head of Finance.

Director Zhang of the Trade Union of Provincial Government Departments, whilst presiding over the event, stated that, this ‘Health Outreach’ initiative at Haiso Company represents a concrete measure by the Trade Union of Provincial Government Departments to serve enterprises, care for staff and deliver practical benefits to the public. It aims, through health outreach and engagement at the grassroots level, to promote knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine wellness and acupuncture-based health care, guide everyone towards adopting healthy daily routines and scientifically sound wellness habits, help alleviate work-related fatigue and improve sub-optimal health conditions, enhance the health literacy of the entire workforce, and tangibly strengthen employees’ sense of fulfilment, happiness and security. He expressed the hope that all employees would prioritise daily health management, strike a balance between work and rest, and adopt a scientific approach to self-care, so that they may approach their work and daily lives with robust physical health and a positive mindset.

During the lecture, Director Shen Feng, taking into account the specific nature of office-based work, provided a detailed explanation of practical knowledge including the principles of TCM wellness, the prevention of common occupational diseases, and treatments for shoulder, neck and lumbar strain. Addressing widespread issues such as prolonged sitting at a desk and bodily aches and pains, he offered professional and practical advice on self-care.

During the event, Director Shen Feng engaged in discussions with staff, answering their health-related queries on the spot. He also conducted pulse diagnosis and consultations, provided acupuncture and physiotherapy treatments, and offered guidance on how to maintain good physical health.

This ‘Health Outreach’ lecture was practical and relevant, enabling Haiso staff to systematically learn professional knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and health preservation, whilst immersing themselves in the unique benefits of traditional acupuncture and physiotherapy. It effectively enhanced their ability to manage their own health and tangibly conveyed the organisation’s care to frontline staff, earning unanimous praise from the company’s employees.
