Product Description

Permanent Antistatic Agent For Polymers - ASTPEEN 100
ASTPEEN 100 is a white/pale yellow elastic granule featuring low surface resistance and easy color matching. With surface resistance ≤ 10⁶ Ω, hardness ~80 A, melting range 130-150°C, and melt flow indices of 3-5 and 25-35 g/10 min (190°C, 2.16 kg), it is widely used in plastic modification, industrial tools, electronics industry, cleanroom equipment and other fields.
Recommended Applicable Materials and Processes
  • Directly used in soft transparent materials such as TPU, PVC, TPE, POE, EVA, etc., for extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding and foaming.
  • Used for extrusion (sheet), injection moulding, blow moulding (film) and foaming of PP, LLDPE, LDPE and HDPE.

Recommended Dosage
It is generally recommended to add directly to the material at a ratio of 10-25%. The optimal dosage shall be determined experimentally based on the target surface resistivity and the type of material used.
Instructions for Use
Blend ASTPEEN permanent polymeric antistatic agent with the base resin thoroughly by dry mixing. Add dispersants, fillers, pigments, etc., to the mixture as required, then melt and compound using a twin-screw extruder to process into masterbatch. (If needed, we can provide special masterbatch, which can be directly used in production after uniform dry mixing with raw materials at a ratio of 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3.)
Any conventional processing methods can be applied, such as open mixing / internal mixing, extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding, cast film extrusion, foaming, etc.
A suitable compatibiliser may be added as required (please consult us for specific products).
Before processing, pre-drying of the mixture is recommended as needed (suggested conditions: drying at 85-125℃ for 2-4 hours) to prevent performance loss during processing.
Precautions
  • Use up the product as soon as possible after opening.
  • Any unused product must be stored in a sealed container to prevent moisture absorption.
  • Bulk products with vacuum bag leakage caused by transportation or transfer, as well as residual materials after opening and complimentary samples, must be dried at 85-125℃ for 2-4 hours before use.
  • Otherwise, moisture absorption from air may result in degraded performance during subsequent processing.
Packaging and Storage
Packaging: 25 kg per bag, paper-plastic composite bag or aluminium-plastic vacuum bag.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and ignition sources.
Safety and Environmental Protection
All raw materials are polymeric compounds with an eco-friendly production process and no waste gas, waste water or industrial residue.
This product is non-toxic granular solid. General protective equipment (e.g. gloves, dust masks) is recommended during handling.
In case of accidental contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical attention promptly if discomfort occurs.
